How do I use shortlists?

The shortlist feature allows you to create a list of artistes that you're interested in, which you can then print out, send to us with an enquiry, or simply store for future reference.

The most important thing to bear in mind is that your access to a shortlist is only temporary, as it is stored in a cookie. This means that if you remove your cookie or allow it to expire, you will no longer see the same shortlist.

You can simply retrieve a previous shortlist in order to reactivate it, you can then continue to add and remove artistes. In order to retrieve a shortlist in the future you must make a note of both the shortlist's ID number and Pass Key (4-digit number). Feel free to write these details down or email them to yourself, as they are randomly generated for each shortlist and are not intended to be high-security.

The use of a Pass Key is necessary to ensure a degree of privacy, so that someone else isn't able to access or change your shortlist, but also to keep the process simple, without user registrations and more passwords.

To start using a shortlist, simply click the green 'plus' symbol (+) next to an artiste's details. This will automatically create and activate a new shortlist. It's best to write down the shortlist's ID and Pass Key at this point. To view your shortlist, simply click on 'Shortlist #x' in the red bar above (where x is your shortlist's ID). You can then remove artistes from the shortlist if desired by clicking the red 'subtract' symbol (-).

If you have finished with your shortlist, if you haven't finished and want to store it for later use, or if you simply want to discard the shortlist, you can deactivate it using the button on the actual shortlist's page. This does not delete the shortlist, it simply deactivates your access to it, so that you can retrieve it later. If you haven't written down the ID and Pass Key for the shortlist when you deactivate it, you will not be able to retrieve it again.

The use of the website's shortlist feature is free of charge and you may create as many shortlists as you require.
